Johanna Ypodimatopoulou lifelong fascination with jewellery can be traced back to a childhood spent rummaging through her grandmother’s jewellery chest. From an early age, she developed an enthusiasm for found objects and a curiosity about the various ways in which an object worn on a body will interact with the body itself.  As a child, Johanna made numerous jewellery pieces.Whether she is discovering shiny, colorful wax threads or scouring small miyuki beads for objects with a unique past, Johanna’s work is informed by her passion for collecting and her eye for the exceptional and the unexpected.

Her work incorporates metal silver and wax strings with small beads. The creations she designs are minimal and unique.

The handwoven process of jewellery making allow her to repeat shapes that ordinarily exist as single, unique, elegant jewel. Repeating same moves transforming simple strings into ooak designs with beads.

Since registering her business in 2011, Stekia Pantou is becoming more and more recognized for unique and timeless pieces of jewellery.  It wasn't until studying Jewellery Arts in seminars in Greece. By learning the processes of handwoven, Johanna turned her simple strings into unique and statement pieces giving in every color life. Johanna design her first earrings with macrame tecnique in 2014 and now has a big collection. Johanna works in her studio in Thessaloniki Greece and hopes to share the love she has through her pieces of jewellery.
